Creating unique and fascinating ornaments on leather is no easy task and leather imprinting is one way to achieve this goal. However, it is hard to create accurate, symmetrical and detailed imprints with hands only. Usually, you can spot handmade leather imprinting because it’s not exactly symmetrical and some shapes may be a little bit off. Thus, a challenge arises to create perfectly arranged leather imprints at low cost.
To create leather imprints that will be both one-of-a-kind and symmetrically arranged, Cyprian used PLA models made on a ZMorph 3D printer. He designed the patterns himself. A 3D model with the patterns was imported to Voxelizer, sliced and turned into a G-code for the 3D printer. Finally, Cyprian used the ready model for leather imprinting in one of his cosplays. This way, he can make a lot of complex designs at once and at a low cost.
The imprinted leather is used as a part of a complex cosplay made by Cyperian Workshop. Such patterns are one-of-a-kind, which makes the cosplays even more unique and outstanding. Perfectly aligned designs make the costumes look more professional and add extra value. Cyprian makes cosplays as a hobby but he shows up on various events for fantasy fans such as Pyrkon or Comic Con and enters different contests for cosplay makers. Apart from that, he also uses cosplays for advertising purposes. For example, he was advertising a Polish e-commerce company during PGA exposition. Read more about Cyprian on our blog.
